DR. MANDY BLUME
Dr. Mandy Blume is an author, researcher, Doctor of Clinical Nutrition, wife, and mother. Her nutrition journey began when her first child was born with an anoxic brain injury. This life-altering event redirected her from pediatric urology into the healing power of nutrition and lifestyle medicine. Through this shift, she witnessed profound improvements in her son's condition, as well as vibrant health in her subsequent children, and her own recovery from lifelong, life-threatening IgE allergies. These outcomes inspired a clinical practice and philanthropic mission centered on vulnerable children. Mandy and her husband have fostered numerous children and advocate weekly for society's most at-risk youth. Working with this highly vulnerable population, Dr. Blume has seen the transformative power of epigenetics and targeted nutrition in thousands of patients and foster children. With expertise in nutrigenetics, neurology, and endocrinology, she founded a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and authored the cookbook Real Food Recovery. Her practice at drmommy.com helps mothers and families personalize their lifestyles and reduce environmental health risks.

After seeing the positive changes in every foster kid we brought into our home, I have tried to capture; the fun, simple, delicious, and immune-boosting recipes for others. In return, your purchase allows us to fund our nonprofit which provides classes, food tastings, good fats, minerals, and fresh local farm vegetables on a weekly basis to a local foster group home. Because their budget does not provide these beneficial foods, “Real Food Recovery”, a 501 (3)(c) supplements the home for their well-being.
